John Byse Webb

John Byse Webb, beloved father, husband, grandfather, and greatgrandfather, went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 16, 2024, in Columbia, Tennessee.
 
 John was born on March 20, 1932, in Maury County, Tennessee to the late Jesse Byse and Ruby Webb.

 John was a devoted member of the Philippi Church of Christ, where he worshiped regularly. He was an accomplished hunter and fisherman. He was also skilled at gardening where he loved to grow his own crops.

John retired from Publix after a number of years before working with the Maury County School Systems before his full retirement. 

John is preceded in death by his dedicated wife: Christine Webb; parents: Jesse and Ruby Webb; and siblings: JB (Jesse) Webb, Mildred (Butch) Minor, and Florence (John) Pollock. 

John is survived by his sons Nelson and Steve, his daughter-in-laws Cathy and Jan, his grandchildren Kami and Billy Thurman, Neil and Elizabeth Webb, Justin and Kelsey Webb, and Cory Primm, his great-grandchildren Hayley Thurman, William Thurman III, Brady Thurman, Kieley Webb, Maddox Webb,Tyler Webb, and Addison Webb, as well his sisters: Edna Waters and Barbara Gowen, and a host of nieces and nephews.

 Pallbearers will be Neil Webb, Justin Webb, Brady Thurman, Billy Thurman II, Billy Thurman III, and Kenneth Gowan.

Honorary pallbearers will include, Dean Potts (brother in law), the members of the Philippi Church of Christ, and his nephews.

 A service for John will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee with Ben Diles officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to the start of the service at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. John will be laid to rest at Santa Fe Cemetery, next to his wife, Christine.
