John E. Travis

John Travis, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2025, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee. He was 76 years old.

Born on March 26, 1948, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Tom and Delphine Travis, John lived a life of service, kindness, and dedication. A proud veteran of the United States Army, he served honorably during the Vietnam War, earning several decorations for his bravery and commitment to his country.

John was best known for being a devoted dad, an adoring "Pawpaw," and a loyal friend to many. He lived his life with integrity, compassion, and a quiet strength that left an impression on everyone he met. Simply put, John Travis was a good man in every sense of the word.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Michelle and Rachel, as well as his cherished granddaughter and great-granddaughter. He is also survived by his sister, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will dearly miss him. John was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Delphine Travis.
