John Scott Karr

Mr. John Scott Karr, 59 , a resident of Lofton Road in Columbia, died Wednesday, March 31, 2005 at Maury Regional Hospital.
A memorial service for Mr. Karr will be conducted Sunday, April 3, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the East Side Church of Christ with Joseph Wells, Joe Macer and Bob Brewer officiating. Williams Funeral Home of Columbia will be in charge of the arrangements.
The Vidalia, Georgia native was the son of the late Wendell O. and Martha Sanders Karr. He was the husband of Judy Watson Karr. Mr. Karr served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era and retired as a combat controller. He was a member of the paralyzed Veterans of America and the East Side Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Michael L. Karr of Pensacola, FL; one sister, Carole Hansen of Atlanta, GA; one brother, Robert Patricia Karr of Newman, GA.; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lisa R. Karr.
Memorials may be made to the East Side Church of Christ Building Fund 1024 East Valley Dr. Columbia, TN 38401 or the mission work of Moses Akpanudo c/o Mt. Morris Church of Christ, 1262 South St., Mt. Morris, MI 48458.
