John Luke

John Luke, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on April 16, 2023, in Culleoka, TN. He was born in Detroit, MI on October 5, 1961, to the late John Luke Sr. and Dorothy Grissom.

John was a devoted family man who loved his family deeply. He was an outdoorsman through and through and enjoyed fishing and wading in creeks. He was a passionate fan of the Tennessee Titans and Vols. He also liked spending his free time playing pool.

John is survived by 7 children: Jason Glover, Kelly Evans (Danny Evans),Dane Luke (Kory Felty), Jada Plant (Jere Plant), Amber Davidson (Andrew Franks), Summer Luke (Justin Ketch), and Trey Luke; mother of his children, Cathy Garland; sister, Tina Brown; brother, Chris Luke; and 18 grandchildren: Seth, Lance, Kaycie, Gage, Emily, Lexi, Gracie, Nathan, Mason, Channin, Raegan, Aaron, Khloe, Skye, Carter, Parker, and Blake.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather: Van Grissom; sister, Kim Buroughs; granddaughter, Rawlin Plant; and son-in-law, Danny Evans.

John Luke will be remembered for his selfless devotion to his family and friends, and for his passion for the outdoors. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A service for John will be Thursday, April 20, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 20, 2023, from 12:00 PM to the start of the service at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. John will be laid to rest at Polk Memorial Gardens.
