John W. "Johnny" Hines Iii

John W. “Johnny” Hines, III, age 61, of Hampshire passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on Friday, November 17, 2017.
Johnny was born on January 10, 1956, to the late John W. “Buddy” Hines, II and Willie Mae Morrow Hines. Johnny was well loved by his family and those that knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sheila Sparks Hines; Daughters: Carley (Tony) Bush, Shannon (Wesley) Southall; Granddaughter: Kynslee Southall; Sisters: Janet Martin, Cheryl (John) Oakes; Sister-in-law: Susan (Stacey) Roberts; Brothers-in-law: Robert (Winnie) Sparks, Edward (Anita) Sparks, Bill (Judy) Sparks and John (Vonda) Sparks and Aunt: Betty Morrow Fleming. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. In addition to his family he is survived by many close friends: Richard and Tina Wilkes, Kenneth and Jackie Davis, Jon Wilkes, Charles and Faye Martindale, Dean and Kathy Mulholland, Michael Parker, Ben Pruitt, Teresa Nichols, Steve and Alicia Legarrea, Leona Adkins, and Steve Lunsford.
Johnny was a deacon of Sandy Hook Church of Christ. A dedicated Christian, he loved the Lord and his family with all his heart. Johnny enjoyed hunting, fishing, listening to classic rock music, riding motorcycles, and watching Alabama football. He loved animals, especially his three boxers as he often referred to as the “Boxer Mafia.” Johnny was the owner of Hines Plumbing and Heating and former employee of Muletown Trolley.
In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his Mother-in-law, Sharon Sparks, “Adopted Son,” Cody John Randall Howell, and “Brother” Randy Parker.
In lieu of flowers, Johnny requested donations be made in his name to Sandy Hook Church of Christ Building Fund, 8000 New Lawrenceburg Highway, Mount Pleasant, Tennessee 38474, Middle Tennessee Boxer Rescue, 330 Franklin Road #135A-192 Brentwood, Tennessee 37027, or to his family for medical expenses.
The family would like to acknowledge Jon Wilkes for his friendship, love, and help over the last several years. A special thanks to Caris Healthcare and Dr. Leora Horn at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center for her expertise and abundant concern and care.
The immediate family will hold a private Celebration of Life at a later date.
