John Everet Adams

August 30, 1959 — October 8, 2002

Mr. John Everet "Johnny" Adams, 43, a resident of the Santa Fe Pike in Columbia, died Tuesday, October 8, 2002 at Maury Regional Hospital.

Funeral services for Mr. Adams will be conducted Friday, October 11, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williams Columbia Funeral Home with Reverend Hugh Dalton and Reverend Tommy Fox officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Lawrence County native was the son of Johnnie Edith Brake Adams of Mt. Pleasant and the late Billy T. Adams. He was the husband of Jackie L. Burns Adams of Columbia. He was an employee of Mt. Pleasant Insulation and member of the Theta Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by a daughter, Jamie Lynn Tidwell of Columbia; two sons, John Travis Adams and Ricky Jason Burns both of Columbia; two special friends, Amanda Harlan and Brad Dawson both of Columbia; six sisters, Barbara Kay Jim Spears of Mt. Pleasant, Betty Larry Harlow of Crestview, FL, Wanda Bobby Clayton of Lawrenceburg, Mary Bobby Smith, Carolyn Hodge, and Lynn Ingrum all of Mt. Pleasant; two brothers, Mike Brandi Adams and Joe Brenda Adams both of Mt. Pleasant; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Burns of Columbia; a brother-in-law, David Nita Burns of Columbia; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, J.B. Burns.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Lee Ingrum, Micky Ray Hodge, Steve Riggins, Tyron Roach, Johnny Cates, and Tim Laws. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Spears, Brandon Adams, Landon Adams, Eddie McKennon, Adam Smith, Chris Clayton, and employees of Mt. Pleasant Insulation.
