Graveside Services for John C. Saporito, 86, of Newark, OH will be held at Newark Memorial Gardens, 10:00 A.M., Saturday, December 5, 2009, with Deacon Steve DeMers officiating.
John, a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, passed away at his home in Newark, OH on Tuesday, December 1, 2009. He was born in Dennison, OH on March 17, 1923 to the late Frank and Teresa Ventura Saporito.
John was retired from Rockwell where he worked for 38 years, a US Army Veteran, a member of the American Legion and the 1037 CIO.
John is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Victoria Saporito of Columbia, TN; his daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Bill Kowaliw of Windsor, Ontario, Canada; his grandchildren, Christina, Andrea, Michael, and Cameron; his great-grandchildren Hannah, Joseph, and Austin; his brother, Sam Saporito of Columbus, OH; his sister and brother-in-law, Rose and Bob Wood of Newark, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife: Lillian V. Hare Saporito; his half brothers: Pete, Tony, and Alfred Natalucci; his half sisters: Mary Stock and Ellen Natalucci; his beloved dogs: Brownie and Mosley.
