Joe C. Hardin

Joe C. Hardin, age 85, a resident of Pine Drive in Columbia, passed away on Sunday, May 23rd, at NHC/Oakwood in Lewisburg.
A private graveside service for Mr. Hardin was conducted Tuesday, May 25th at 2:00 P.M. in the Polk Memorial Gardens with Rev. Telford Tharp and Jason Keyser officiating.
Williams Funeral Home of Columbia assisted the family with arrangements.
Born June 16, 1924 in the Napier area of Lewis County, he was the son of the late Earl and Mae Winters Hardin and the husband of the late Idell Conner Hardin. He retired from the shipping department of Union Carbide, loved gardening and taking walks through the neighborhood. Mr. Hardin was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Columbia.
Survivors include his daughters: Charlotte Wayne Roberts and Sheila Watson, both of Columbia; grandchildren: Chris Roberts and Brent Roberts; great grandchildren: Chelsea Roberts, Kylie Roberts and Christian Roberts; one sister: Carolyn Hardin Staggs of Napier, TN. He was preceded in death by a sister: Bernice Hardin Bennett and two brothers: Wilburn Hardin and Robert Hardin.
