Joanne Bratton Davis

Joanne was born on March 15, 1935 in Maury County. She was the daughter of the late Annie Pearl Bratton. On August 4, 1951 she married the love of her life, Aubrey L. "Strut" Davis of Columbia who survives her. Joanne retired from the house keeping department at Maury Regional Medical Center. She was an avid cross stitcher, loved line dancing with her husband and friends. Joanne's family was the light of her life. She was a member of the New Lasea Church of Christ.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Judy Bruce Taiji of Columbia; three sons, Terry Annette Davis of Columbia, Danny Cheryl Davis of Rockvale and Randy Robyn Davis of Spring Hill; three grandsons, Jay Tonya Watters and Stephen Davis both of Columbia and Patrick Davis of Murfreesboro; a granddaughter, MacKenzie Davis of Columbia; and a great-grandson, Storm Stone of Columbia. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathan Davis.

Mrs. Joanne Davis was 75 years old and a resident of Westwood Drive in Columbia. She passed away on Friday, December 31, 2010 at Maury Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services for Mrs. Davis will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, January 3, 2011 in the chapel of the Williams Funeral Home of Columbia with Kenneth McFarlen officiating. Interment will follow at Jones Cemetery.

The Davis family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Taiji, Patrick Davis, Storm Stone, Steve Barr, Jerry White, Johnny Davis, Bobby White and Jimmy Parrish.
