Joan M. Stevens, age 77 of Columbia, passed away at Life Care Center of Columbia on Thursday, January 8, 2015.
Joan was born on April 15, 1937 to Ross Knapp and Mary Stokes Knapp in Elmira, New York. She was married to Frank Stevens, who preceded her death in 2006. Joan loved life and she was always on the go. She was a fighter until the very end. Joan also loved Charlie Brown, and deeply loved her siblings.
Joan is survived by her daughters, Selena (Billy) Simmons, Tami Hulbert both of Columbia, and Mary Hulbert of Lockport, New York; six grandchildren; sister, Nancy (Darold) Champagne; and a brother, Gordon Knapp. She is preceded in death by her son, Colin Hulbert; husband, Franklin Stevens; sisters, Shirley Blasingham, and Darla; brothers, Ross Knapp, and Thomas Knapp.
Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.
