Jimmy was born on August 16, 1948 in Lewisburg, Tennessee to Odell and Sarah Cozart Hobby. He was a supervisor at J. R. Moon Pencil Company for over thirty years.
He is survived by his brothers: Floyd, Cordell, Charles and Odell Hobby. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Billy L. and John Horace Hobby.
