Mr. James L. ?Jimmy? Henson, 71, a resident of Shackelford Drive in Mt. Pleasant, died Monday, March 8, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Henson will be conducted Thursday, March 11, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Reverend Elmer Crosby and Billy Dean Felker officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 3:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of the late Thomas Luther and Henri Etta Hunt Henson and was the husband of Ann Massey Henson of Mt. Pleasant. He was retired from the Maury County Landfill. He was a member of the Halls Chapel Church of Christ and served our country in the U.S. Army.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Doris Johnny Johns of Columbia, TN and Phyllis Henson of Mt. Pleasant, TN; a sister, Allie McNabb of Mt. Pleasant; a brother, George Henson of Mt. Pleasant. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dovie Henson and a brother, Leroy Henson.
Pallbearers will be Randy Workman, Ronnie Workman, R.L. Workman, Jackey Massey, William Massey, and Ronnie Dugger. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Thompson, Jr., Wayne Massey, Billy Hollis, Alan Massey, David Massey, Bill Runions, George Runions, Roy Wayne Henson, and Boyd Wood.
