Jimmy Griggs

James Leonard (Jimmy) Griggs, age 73, passed August 25, 2022, in Maury County.
Jimmy the son of the late Hudson and Thelma Griggs. He was the lead custodian at Oak Grove Elementary in Lewisburg before retiring.
Jimmy was always having fun joking with everyone. He also loved his fur babies, Jake and Sam Sam.
Jimmy is survived by one son Jamie Griggs of Lewisburg and one daughter Angie Adams of Columbia, two granddaughters: Valorie Adams and Robyn Adams; great grandchildren: Alexis Dale Adams, Isaiah Adams, and Sophie Adams; and sisters: Arlene Miller of Columbia; Yvonne Farr of Lewisburg.
In addition to his parents Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife: Sandra Morris Griggs in 2011; brother: Ronnie Griggs in 2021; and niece: Kim Griggs in 2019.
Honorary pallbearers are David Farr, Doug Miller, Dale Adams, and Donnie Morris.
A service for Jimmy will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at Williams Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with David Walls officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to the start of the service at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. Jimmy will be laid to rest at Polk Memorial Gardens.
