Jimmy Dumont Fogg passed away on February 6, 2019 at his home in Columbia, Tennessee.
Jimmy was born in Ardmore, Alabama on April 5, 1939 to Dumont Fogg and Margaret Hill Fogg. He married his Jr High School sweetheart, Gayle Parsons, in 1961 and began his career with Dunn Bros. Construction Company. He retired from GE/Fedders Corp. in 1996. He was co-leader of Scout Troop 111 for sixteen years and was a recipient of the Order of the Arrow award. Jimmy was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church where he enjoyed singing with the choir in the Christmas and Easter presentations. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing all courses. He was also a baseball fan. He and Gayle had visited every major league park except two and for several years had attended spring training in Florida with friends.
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife Gayle Fogg; son Chris (Terri) Fogg; grandsons Brandon (Jerrica) Russell and Jamey (Cayce) Russell; great grandchildren Carson, Charlotte, Caroline, Brady, Tyler Claire; sister Joan (Dan) Harmon; special niece Sherry Fogg Arnold and other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Dumont and Margaret Fogg, son Neal Patrick Fogg, and brother Joel Fogg.
Services will be Saturday February 9, 2019 at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia at 2:00 PM with Bro. Wilson Henderson officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. Family will visit with friends on Friday, February 8, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Pallbearers: Jamey Russell, Eric Russell, David Carpenter, Scott Arnold, Dan Baena, and Guy Fogg.
Honorary Pallbearers: Mr. and Mrs. Math Russell, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Cooper and Praise 10.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the Highland Park Baptist Church Building Fund.
