Jimmy Edwards Pogue
March 14, 1935 — July 8, 2006
Mr. Jimmy Edwards Pogue, 71, a resident NHC/Columbia for seven years and former resident of Hohenwald, TN passed away Saturday, July 8, 2006 at NHC/Columbia.
Funeral services for Mr. Pogue will be conducted 1:00 pm Monday July 10, 2006 at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Reverend Bob Adair officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the Herbert Griffin Post #19 of Columbia. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00 until 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
Born in Maury County, he was the son of the late Luther and Grace Edwards Pogue. Mr. Pogue was a 1953 graduate of Columbia Central. He retired from Ace Hardware of Columbia small engine repairman, former manager of Pizza Hut in Columbia, TN , Georgia and North Carolina and also made topgraphical maps for the University of Alabama. Mr. Pogue served in the Tennessee National Guard and a member of the church of Christ.
He is survived by his children, Phillip Michael Annette Pogue of Tusculoose, AL, Ricky Primm of Columbia, TN, Joanna Lynn Smith of Nashville, TN; one sister, Marlene Bobby Huckaby of Columbia, TN; grandchildren, Kristen Pogue , Matt Pogue and Chase Pogue all of Tusculoose, AL, Corey Primm of Columbia, TN ;nephew, Tim Cheryl Huckaby of Columbia, TN.
Pallbearers will be Clyde McCabe, Ray Cochran, Alfred Edwards, Thomas Neeley Edwards, Matt Pogue and Chase Pogue.
Honorary pallbearers will be Nurses and Staff of NHC/Columbia
