Jimmy Douglas Massey, age 72, passed away at his home. He was born April 14, 1939 in Columbia, TN to William and Lorena Massey.
Jimmy was described by his family as someone who loved to read newspapers, and who was quiet but had an avid intelligence. Jimmy is a graduate of Columbia Central High School class of 1957. After high school he spent time in the Navy on many different ships as well as spending time as an electronics instructor at great lakes naval training center.
Jimmy is survived by his son, Kerry Massey; Two Sisters: Janice James Allen and Alice Crews of Mt. Pleasant ; Three brothers : Larry Joyce Massey form Fayetville, TN; Thomas Ann Massey of Columbia, TN and Donald Shoko Massey of Oak Harbor, Washington. He is also survived by three grandchildren
A graveside service will be held, Saturday January 14th at 10 am at Polk Memorial Gardens. Andrew Roberts will be officiating. Williams Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
