Jim Johnson

Mr. James ?Jim? Johnson, 82, a resident of the Pulaski Highway in Culleoka, died Saturday, October 18, 2003 at Maury Regional Hospital.

A memorial service for Mr. Johnson will be conducted Saturday, November 1, 2003 at 3:00 P.M. the Bigbyville United Methodist Church with Reverend Tony Brown officiating. Williams Columbia Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The Portsmouth, Ohio native was the son of the late James W. and Elizabeth Francis Custer Johnson. He was the husband of the late Vera Francis Howell Johnson who died in 1965. He was retired from the Uranium Enrichment Plant in Piketon, Ohio. He attended the Bigbyville United Methodist Church in Maury County and was a member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church in Wellston, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Marines in World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post #371 and was a mason in the Black Diamond Lodge, both in Wellston, Ohio.

He is survived by a son, Jim Patsy Johnson of Columbia, TN; a daughter, Barbara Buddy Smith of Ellisville, MS; a step son, Paul Rhoda Robinettte of Charlotte, NC; two step daughters, Sue Dodson of Charlotte, NC and Judy Robinette of Ashland, KY; 22 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Bigbyville United Methodist Church, 3894 Bigbyville Road, Columbia, Tennessee 38401.
