Jim “Frank” Skinner, Sr., age 80, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Frank was born on February 15, 1935 in Maury County, Tennessee to the late Jim Tom Skinner and Rosie Hue Scott Skinner. He married Agnes Workman on April 18, 1955. The two just celebrated sixty years together. Frank loved fishing, hunting, and playing cards. He was a huge fan of the Tennessee Volunteers – Go Big Orange! Frank was a member of Greenfield Bend Church of Christ.
The family will visit with friends on Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.
Frank is survived by his loving wife Agnes Workman Skinner of Williamsport, Tennessee; daughter Deborah (Comer) Brewer of Mt. Pleasant; son Jim Frank (Cindy) Skinner, Jr. of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren Jon (Liz) Anderson, Amanda Robinson, Daniel Skinner, Bryant (Melissa) Brewer, Mary Ann (Jon) Cole, Bobby Macke, and Jami (Aaron) Bever; great-grandchildren Marcus Cole and Eliza Joy Bever; multiple nieces and nephews; and siblings Jean Cannady, Betty (Jerry) Cheek, Randy Skinner, Bill Skinner, Larry (Bonnie) Skinner, Audrey Savage, and Kathy Arzadon.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents Jim and Rosie Skinner, sisters Marie and Daisy, and brother Tommy.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
Honorary pallbearers are the members of Greenfield Bend Church of Christ.
