Mrs. Jewell Litton, 95, a longtime resident of Columbia, passed away Friday, October 14 at NHC/Hillview.
Born August 20, 1916 in Maury County, daughter of the late Neal and Margaret Dial Luckett and the wife of the late Emery Litton. She was a retired machine operator from Public Manufacturing and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her nephews: Wayne Fitzgerald, Randy Fitzgerald and David Mary Jane Hood, all of Columbia; nieces: Gail Tommy Ervin and Jean Ann Troy Wilson, both of Columbia; several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters: Early Mae Hagewood, Marie Hood and Lucille Fitzgerald; her brothers: Paul Luckett and Marvin Luckett.
Funeral services for Mrs. Litton will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday, October 17, 2011 in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Steve Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in the Santa Fe Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 5:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Todd Fitzgerald, Randy D. Fitzgerald, Jack Fitzgerald, David hood, Troy Wilson and Tommy Ervin. Honorary pallbearers will be her great and great-great nieces and nephews, Jimmy Phillips and the members of the First Church of the Nazarene.
