Jewel Briceno

Mrs. Jewel Bennett Briceno, age 80, a resident of Hampton Rd. in Columbia, TN, passed away Wednesday, September 20th at her home after a brief illness.

Born May 26, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Claude W. and Della Ann Langham Bennett.

She was a loving mother, friend, and a member of Graymere Church of Christ.

She is survived by her children: Tony (LouAnn) Brown of Columbia, TN and Danny (Jennifer) Brown of Louisville, KY; step-children: Allene (William) G. Scott of Columbia and Enoch (Phyllis) George of Santa Fe; sister: Betty Ann Eley of Columbia; special friend Robert Sullivan of Columbia; grandchildren: Ryder and Rhett Bogue of Gordonsville, TN, William and Daniel Brown of Louisville, KY, Tim (Bonnie) Scott of Columbia, Bryan (Dannette) George and Stacey Campbell, both of Santa Fe: and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by sisters: Alice Colvett, Bertha Blocker, Joyce Scrimsher and brothers: Willie Claude Bennett and Charles C. Bennett: and grandson Robert Earl Brown of Louisville, KY, and her beloved fur-baby, Tiffany.

Funeral services for Mrs. Briceno will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with John Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Saturday, September 23th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Bennett, David Blocker, Gary Colvett, Junior Bennett, Andy Bennett, Bradley Thompson, Johnny Steele, William Brown, and Daniel Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Goodwin, Jason Goodwin, the members of Graymere Church of Christ, and Hospice Compassus. A special thanks to all family and friends expressing care and concern, with a special thanks to those that helped in her final days.
