Mrs. Jessie B. Malone King , 77, a resident of East 16th Street in Columbia passed away Saturday January 7, 2006 at Maury Regional Hospital.
A Memorial service for Mrs. King will be conducted Tuesday January 10, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Danny Smith officiating. Inurnment will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 p.m.until service time at the funeral home.
The Warrior, Alabama native was the daughter of the late Luther L. and Ollie Treadway Malone and widow of Floyd King. Mrs. King was a homemaker, housewife and a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of Grace Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her children, Jim Geneva Miller, Jerry Smith, Danny Letha Smith and Diane Smith all of Columbia, TN; grandchildren, Jimmy john Miller of Shelbyville, TN, Mindy Yant of Columbia, TN, Jamie Smith and Lance Smith both of Mt. Pleasant, TN, Matthew Smith , Cody Miller and Tyler Miller all of Columbia, TN; a brother, Bill Hazel Malone of Savannah, TN; three sisters, Pearl Travis Grimes of Lawrenceburg, TN, Barbara Foley of Waynesboro, TN a and Jackie Ralph Beverly of Jacksonville, Fl;
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline Reeves and Betty Russell; a brother Jim Malone and first husband, Lecil Smith; granddaughter, Missy Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Thomas Farmer, Dr. John Maloof, Dr. Blumhardt and staff of CCU unit at Maury Regional Hospital.
