It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Jesse Paul Bontrager, born on September 18, 1943, in Southern California. Paul was a lover of In-N-Out, a classic car enthusiast who owned two T-Birds and an old Ford truck. He even pursued his passion for flying by obtaining his pilot's license and flying small-engine planes.
Paul dedicated 35 years of his life to working in telephony, including the role of being the first male operator in Southern California. He was also a 6-year veteran in the Marines and worked stateside repairing radios during the Vietnam War.
Paul is survived by his children Scott (Kim) Bontrager, Leighanne (Dave) Perdikis, and Matt (Kristin) Rose, his grandchildren Scott (Melissa) Bontrager, Nicole (Ben) Dunbar, Heather Loving, Sienna (Tanner) Beebe, Gracen (Nicholas) Renshaw, Madison Rose, Jordan (Wesley) Jones, Cameron (Nicolle) Rose, and great-grandchildren Emmett Bontrager, Findley Bontrager, Nathan Dunbar, Noah Dunbar, Zoey Renshaw, Camille Allen, Willow Allen, Hazel Allen, Malcolm Jones, River Rose, and Lennox Rose. He is also survived by his siblings Joanne Kennedy, Byron Bontrager, Nancy Nelson, and Lyle Bontrager.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents.
Paul will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and passion for life. May he rest in peace.
