Jerry Prater Alley

Mr. Jerry Prater Alley, 70, a resident of Main Street in Clifton, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, August 14 at Alive Hospice in Nashville.
Born March 7, 1941 in Wayne County, son of the late Tom Frank and Willie Mae Prater Alley and the husband of Peggy Alley. He was a retired tow boat assistant. Mr. Alley enjoyed reading war books and watching western movies and was a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by a son, Scotty Amanda Alley of Clifton; two sisters, Jane Keyman of Clifton and Shirley Hannah of Dickson; four grandchildren and five step-children.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Alley.
Funeral services for Mr. Alley will conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday August 17, 2011 at the Clifton Church of Christ in Clifton with Tracy Love officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery in Clifton.
The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 1o:oo A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the Clifton Church of Christ.
Williams Funeral Home of Columbia is assisting the family with their arrangements.
Active pallbearers will be Ronnie Alley, Danny Alley, Tommy Alley, Jamie Keymon, Kevin Ricketts, and Terry Nance.
