Jerry James "Rookie" Wright, Sr.

Mr. Jerry James ?Rookie? Wright, Sr., 57, a resident of Hairston Drive in Columbia, died Wednesday, November 9, 2005, at his home.
Funeral services for Mr. Wrights will be conducted Friday, November11, 2005 at 6:00 PM in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rick Points officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 1:00 to 9:00 pm and Friday 1:00 to 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of the late James Odie and Annie Grace Littrell Wright and the husband of Lisa Scott Wright. He was a self employed Roofing Contractor and had worked for the Mt. Pleasant Police Dept. and the Lawrence County Sheriffs Dept. He was a Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Michael Shane Wright of Columbia and Jerry Wright, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant; a daughter, Tracy Wright of Wyandotte, MI; a sister, Brenda Robert West of Mt. Pleasant; a brother, Geary Nancy Wright of Nashville; a step-son, Tandy Wright of Columbia; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Hinson and a brother, Carl McCarley.
Pallbearers will be Robert West, Rusty Roberts, Wesley Scott, Johnny Littrell, Bob Jacoby and David Love. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Sawyer, Bobby Shelton, Dennis Shelton and Tommy Shelton.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 209 23rd Ave. North, Nashville, TN 32703
