Jerry Wayne Cates

Jerry Wayne Cates, age 50, a resident of Brown Hollow Road in Columbia, passed away Tuesday, September 4, at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Cates will be conducted Thursday at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Rudy Thrasher and Rev. Darrell Thrasher officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Nebo Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 ? 9 P.M. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of the late James Sonny Cates and Janie Marie Roberts Cates. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include his children: Kevin Crystal Cates, Jenny Cates and Chad Cates all of Columbia; one sister: Linda Holder of Columbia; two brothers: James David Kathy Cates and Donald Eugene Cates, both of Columbia; the mother of his children: Janice Sims. He was preceded in death by one sister: Barbara Lanier and one brother: Ricky Cates.
Pallbearers will be Chris Newcomb, Jimmy Graham, Michael Cates, J.R. Cates, Donald Suiter and Kenneth Holder.
