Jerry “Donnie” Ledon Smith passed away February 4, 2013 at NHC Pulaski.
Donnie was born December 21, 1949 to the late James Bunyon Smith and the late Mary Smith Fogg in Ardmore, Alabama. He was married to Evelyn Booth Smith. He installed carpet for a living, and was a member of the Baptist Faith.
A Celebration of Donnie’s Life for Donnie will be conducted March 2, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Minor Hill Baptist Church in Minor Hill, TN.
He is survived by his wife Evelyn, a stepdaughter: Maura Sanders of Huntsville, AL; two sisters: Geralda Gates of Ardmore, AL and Brenda Clark of Athens, AL. His siblings Terrell Smith, Jimmy Smith, and Jane Smith precede him in death. He is also preceded in death by his first wife, Shelia Smith.
The request in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the Minor Hill Baptist Church Building Fund, Ardmore Methodist Church Building Fund or Midway Baptist Church Building Fund in Athens, Alabama.
