Jerry L. Craig, age 57, passed away on December 8, 2024, at St. Thomas Hospital West in Nashville, Tennessee. Jerry was born on March 1, 1967, in Jackson, Tennessee, to the late Floyd Albert Craig, Sr. and Norma Evans Knox.
A proud patriot, Jerry enlisted in the United States Navy after graduating high school, dedicating his service to our nation. He carried this sense of duty and perseverance throughout his life, staying constantly busy with projects, whether it was scraping metal, tinkering with a new idea, or lending a helping hand to those in need.
Jerry was known for his vibrant, outgoing personality. Never one to shy away from a conversation, he could make friends wherever he went. His love for travel and the open road took him across the country, where he cherished the stories and connections he made along the way, all while enjoying his favorite tunes.
Jerry leaves behind a family that he loved deeply, including his brothers: Tommy, Johnny, and Jimmy; his half-siblings: Lloyd, T.J., Emilie, and Linda; his special niece, Cassie; and nephews: Josh and Daniel. He is also survived by many more nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his siblings: Lorrie Edgmon, Floyd Craig Jr., Ronnie Parsons, Alfred Parsons, Mary Beth Craig, David Craig, and Mike Craig.
Jerry’s life was a testament to hard work, a friendly spirit, and a love for the road that gave him the opportunity to connect with so many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:45 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, TN. A graveside service for Jerry will commence at 12:00 PM at Polk Memorial Gardens in the Garden of Faith.
