Jerrie A. (Steele) Hafner of Lewisburg, TN died peacefully in her home Thursday, February 10th, 2022, surrounded by family after a brave battle with lung cancer. She was born September 17th, 1948, in La Crosse, WI.
Jerrie was a loving and beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, and friend. She truly loved her family and friends with all of her heart as they loved her. She adored her work families as well with Kroger, Empire Screen Printing, and many others. Her heart was dedicated to God and her Catholic faith. Always remembered birthdays and loved family picnics and get-togethers. She truly was a light to all that had the gift of knowing her. She will be so dearly missed by all that loved her. And her family will continue to honor her life by putting kindness and love into the world each and every day just as she did.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022, from 2:00-5:00 PM in Blevins Hall at Williams Funeral Home, 2517 Trotwood Avenue, Columbia, TN 38401. A second Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 19, 2022, from 1:00-4:00 PM at St. Andrews Square, 1501 St. Andrew Street, La Crosse, WI 54601.
Jerrie leaves behind her husband, Herbert F. Hafner Sr. Her two loving Daughters, Leslie (Hafner) Stevenson, Wendy Wakefield, and her Son Herbert F. Hafner Jr. As well, as her Grandchildren, Nicole(Nate) Aker, Lindsey Steele, Brad(Amie) Hafner, Jessica(Dan) McAlear, Xavier Chitwood and Keagan Stevenson. And Great Grandchildren, Christopher and Callie Aker, Lincoln, Leo and Isabella Hafner, and Parker and Forrest McAlear. Her Brothers Eldon Steele, John Steele, Richard Steele, and Dale McCumber. Her Sisters Linda Lehrke, Sharleen Timm, Pamela Oyer, and Nancy Weigel. And so many others including Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. All were loved so very much.
Jerrie is now in Heaven with her beloved God and preceded in death by John Steele(Father), Opal Aleson Steele McCumber(Mother), George Steele(Son), Betty Steele(Sister), and Judith Steele McCumber(Sister).
