Jeremy “Cockroach” Powell, age 45, of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Jeremy was born in Columbia, Tennessee to James “Jim” Powell and Gayle Odom Powell on February 17, 1969. He worked as a truck-driver at Floyd & Floyd Contractors. Jeremy had a wonderful sense of humor and cutup with everyone. He loved embarrassing his family in public places. Jeremy loved his children. He was always willing to help someone out, whether he had the means to or not.
The family will visit with friends on Thursday, July 10, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Funeral services will be Friday, July 11, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with William Owens officiating. Burial will follow at Santa Fe Cemetery.
Jeremy is survived by his fiancé Kim Smyser; sons Justin Fralix and Dylan Powell; step-daughters Katie Stewart and Kayla Wright; grandchild Bentley Fralix; parents James E. “Jim” and Gayle Powell; brother Derrick Powell; grandmother Mary Elizabeth Powell; nephew Christian Powell; nieces Camimi Gail Powell and Maggie Simpson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends.
Pallbearers will be Mickey Warren, Melvin Roberts, Bruce Odom, Scotty Odom, Justin Odom, and Jerry Wright.
Honorary Pallbearers are the employees of Warren Construction and Floyd & Floyd Construction.
