“High-spirited. Funny. Passionate. Adored.”
Jeremy David Corkern leaves behind a legacy built on these four words. Jeremy shared 25 years of his amazing life with all those that loved and knew him. He passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016 while enjoying one of his favorite hobbies: riding a motorcycle.
Jeremy was born in Lawrenceville, Georgia on February 20, 1991 to David Wayne Corkern and Heidi Jo Hartter Trusler. At an early age, Jeremy spent many of his days on the track. He had a love of motocross and competition, and it shows as his trophies, helmets, and photos from many years of racing will surround the family as they share their goodbyes.
When someone speaks of Jeremy, immediately they smile and that is followed by laughter. Jeremy was a thrill seeker with an invincible heart. He was the guy who couldn’t just light one bottle rocket but would rather light the whole pack, always seeking to make the biggest spark. A true hobby connoisseur, he was either picking up playing golf or adding to the family collection of Jeeps, bikes and boats. He possessed such a zest for life full of happy times for those left behind to continue.
Jeremy is survived by his wife, Gabrielle Corkern; father, David Corkern; brother, Christopher Corkern; sister, Alex Wylie; uncle, Steve Corkern; and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that were considered family. He is preceded in death by his mother, Heidi Jo Trusler.
The family will gather to celebrate his life at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. They will visit two hours prior beginning at 11:00 a.m. Darryl Martin, Derek Mitchell, Jordan Bertram, Kayla Bartolucci, and Preston Duren will officiate the service.
