Jeffry Lee Krokker, age 58, of Summertown passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Jeffry was the son of Richard Roland and Kathryn Joyce Berry Krokker, and was born on October 29, 1957 in Lansing, Michigan. He served honorably in the United States Marines, and was faithful to the end – “once a Marine, always a Marine!” He worked as an Op-tech at General Motors Corporation for over thirty-four years.
More than country and career, Jeffry was a family man who loved his wife, children and grandchildren. He always dreamed of being a chef, so he loved to serve his family by cooking for them. For recreation, he was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed following the Nashville Predators, Michigan State Spartans and the Detroit Lions. Jeffry was a member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church.
Mr. Krokker is survived by his loving wife of 26 years: Robin Shilton Krokker of Summertown; children: Jason (Victoria) Krokker of Michigan, Matt (Heather) Briggs of Michigan and Savannah (Brandon) Prince of Summertown; grandchildren: Ayden, Riley, Tristan, Maddox, Bryce and Jaxon; sisters: Lori (Jim) Baughman, Mary Voss and Ann (Mike) Barnick; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father: Richard Krokker; mother: Kathryn Berry Krokker; and nephew: Jordan Richard Voss.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held for Jeffry on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, 2494 Nashville Hwy, Columbia, Tennessee, with Pastor Chuck Westra officiating. The family will visit with friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. prior to the service and a light dinner will be served afterwards.
