Jeffrey Layne Stanford

Jeffery Layne Stanford, born February 4, 1964, passed away on April 2, 2025. He was a man of kindness, generosity, and deep intelligence, with an insatiable love for learning.

He found joy in nature, spending time feeding and watching birds, and cherished the peaceful moments by the river near his childhood home on Santa Fe Pike. Jeffery also had a passion for music and loved playing guitar.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Edna Stanford; siblings Barbara Stanford, James Stanford, Robert Stanford, Ronnie Stanford, Marjorie Stanford Patterson, and Marilyn Stanford Brock; his nephew, Marty Kindred; and his beloved dog, Pachino.

Jeffery leaves behind a loving family, including his brothers and sisters: Beverly Stanford, Brenda Stanford, and David Patterson; Special nieces: Melissa Stanford and Davina Burleson (husband Tommy Burleson), nieces and nephews: Wade Stanford, Mindy Stanford, Keith Stanford, Christie Kehoe (husband Shawn Kehoe), Carey Stanford, Sheryl Butler (husband Billy Butler), Candi Stanford, Jelena Smithson (husband Larry Smithson), and Melinda Watson (husband Justin Watson), along with many great nieces, nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

His generous spirit, love for family, and endless curiosity will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
