Jeffrey Hall Buck

Jeffrey Hall Buck, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away today, Wednesday the 22nd of May, 2013 at his home in Columbia. He was 65.

Jeff served in the Air Force from 1968-1971. He then attended the University of Chattanooga. He worked in various retail positions, but worked for Auto Zone (formerly Auto Shack) for 25 years from which he retired. After retirement he was very involved in his church, Grace Church of the Nazarene working with the Food Pantry and Care and Share Program. He was head of Upward Concessions for the past two years and a member of the church board for the past year.
Jeff is survived by his wife Linda (Brayford), his four children: Daniel (Julie), Russell (Susan), Nathan, and Winnie (Jake) Spann, his eight beautiful grandchildren (7 boys and 1 girl), his sister-in-law Barbara Brayford, his sister, Gerri Lou Price (Pete), and brothers Douglas (Ruth Ann) and Charlie (Carol) and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandparents and parents Richard and Evelyn Buck and his favorite in-laws, William and Janis Brayford.

He wanted everyone to know how much he loved and enjoyed his time with Grace Church and that it was the most inspirational group of friends any one could ever have. He also wanted everyone to know that his many friends in Chattanooga and all over have always been in his thoughts even after his moving to Columbia.

The family will gather with friends Monday, May 27, 2013 at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M.. Services will be conducted Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 6:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Lindstrom officiating. Burial will follow Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 11:30 A.M. in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Jeff would like that money to be donated to Grace Church of the Nazarene’s Care and Share program, 2302 Highland Ave, Columbia, TN 38401.
