Jeff R. Goad, Jr.

Mr. Jeff R. Goad Jr., 74, of the Lawrenceburg Highway in the Sandy Hook Community, died Thursday, June 12, 2003 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Goad will be conducted Sunday, June 15, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at the Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home with Reverend Joe Mason officiating. Burial will follow in the Arlington Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of the late Russell and Mattie Lou Johnston Goad of Maury County. He served in the United States Army in the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Combat Engineers. He was retired construction worker and a member of the Mt. Pleasant American Legion Post #10, the VFW Post #4969, a life time member of the Disabled American Veterans and a member of Sandy Hook United Methodist.
Mr. Goad is survived by a cousin, William Louise Chaffin of Columbia, TN; a half-brother and a half-sister.
Pallbearers will be H. L. Gibson, Jim Lester, Steve Derryberry, Danny McClain and other friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill McNeece, Mai Holloway and Juanita McClain.
