Jean Sands

Jean Chappell Sands passed away peacefully at Northbrooke Healthcare & Rehab Center in Jackson, TN on December 29, 2016 at age 87.

Jean was a devoted & loving wife & mother.

She was born in Mt. Pleasant, TN on December 28, 1929. Jean & Paul were the parents of 4 children, Doug Sands of Elizabethtown, PA, Paula Sands Henderson of Ripley, TN, Lester (Leslie) Sands of Jackson, TN, and Tim (Connie) Sands of Pleasant View, TN. Grandchildren, Jeremy (Amy) Sands, Jaime (Chris) Heim, Jan (Greg) Lambert, Jessica (Ted) Flogaites, Emily (Cory) Carlton, Jordana Sands, and Lester Paul Sands III; Great Grandchildren, Quinton Sands, Morgan Sands, Cameron Lambert, Austin Lambert, Evie Lambert, Krisanna Flogaites, and Harper Carlton. She is also survived by 2 brothers, John (Annette) Chappell of Owensboro, KY and Michael Chappell of Columbia, TN, as well as numerous nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Dr. Lester Paul Sands Sr; Parents, Elmer and Pauline Chappell; Siblings, Elmer Chappell Jr, Larry Chappell, and Doris Cooper and great granddaughter Abigail Coleman Lambert.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 2, 2017 at 12:00PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. The family will visit with friends prior to the service starting at 10:00AM. Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery in Mount Pleasant.

Pallbearers will be Max Head, Jack Head, Paul Sands III, Cory Carlton, Greg Lambert, and Jeremy Sands.
