Mrs. Jean Greer McBride was born April 4, 1938 in East Chicago, Indiana, and passed away on October 13, 2013 in Summertown, Tennessee.
“A warm and glowing flame has gone out of our midst.” Jean enjoyed singing, cooking, writing poetry/songs, and painting. Her life exemplified the proverb; to have friends you must be one. She loved people and being with family and friends. Jean was a member of Marcella Falls Church of Christ in Ethridge, TN.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Gerald; her three children Christy, Mark, and Kelly (Bob) Tidwell; her three grandchildren Bryce, Caleb, and Ethan; brother Jimmy Greer of Kentucky.
Visitation will be at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, TN on Tuesday, October 15th from 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 16th at 12:00 Noon with burial to follow at Arlington Cemetery. Bob Tidwell and Dan Edwards will be officiating.
