Jean Ann Scharrer

Mrs. Jean Ann Parson Scharrer, age 70, resident of Florida Avenue in Mt. Pleasant passed away on Tuesday, April 22, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
Funeral services for Mrs. Scharrer will be conducted Thursday at 12:00 Noon in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Bro. Dalton Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 3:00 – 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The Maury Co. native was the daughter of the late J.B. and Irene Hill Parson. She was the wife of William "Bill" Scharrer of Mt. Pleasant. Mrs. Scharrer attended Hay Long High School in Mt. Pleasant and retired from Roses Department Store in Columbia as the cafeteria manager. She was a member of the Allensville Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant.
Survivors in addition to her husband include her children: Wayne Scharrer of Columbia, Billy Kathy Scharrer of Mt. Pleasant, Julie Scharrer of Columbia and Charlene Scharrer of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren: Andrew Kelley Scharrer, Kurtis Scharrer and Konner Scharrer, all of Mt. Pleasant, Whitney Scharrer of Columbia and Katelyn Scharrer of Mt. Pleasant; two sisters: Joanola Pullen of Mt. Pleasant and Ellen Doug Stanford of Athens, AL; two brothers: Jack Parson of Columbia and Charlie "Bill" Parson of Florida; one brother-in-law: Don Barbara Reid of Poseyville, MI; Tammy Scharrer, the mother of Andrew and Whitney, of Mt. Pleasant.
Pallbearers will be Tony Cole, Terry Cole, Chris Stanford, Shannon Parson, Condley Parson, Drew Parson and Tim Barker. Family and friends will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to Hope House of Columbia, P. O. Box 1961, Columbia, TN 38402.
