J D Rinks

J D Rinks, 88, a resident of Walnut Lane and former resident of Skyview Drive in Columbia, passed away Thursday, April 16 at NHC/Columbia.
Funeral services for Mr. Rinks will be conducted Saturday at 12:00 Noon in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Rinks was born July the 16, 1920 in McNairy County, TN, son of the late W G and Molly Hunt Rinks. He was married to the late Eloise Tomlinson Rinks, who preceded him in death on February 24, 2009. Mr. Rinks worked for Union Carbide and was a WW II US Army veteran with the 88 FAR.
Survivors include his son: Wayne Bonnie Rinks of Evansville, IN; grandchildren: Richard Terri Rinks of Murfreesboro, William Roger Rinks and Frank R. Rinks, both of Columbia, Jessica M. Rinks of Chicago, IL and Elli Rinks of Evansville, IN; 5 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
