Mr. J.B. Busby, 81, a resident of Pleasant Drive in Columbia, died Wednesday, August 27, 2003 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Busby will be conducted Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the Williams Columbia Funeral Home with Reverend Monte McCandless officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of the late Henry and Della Hardin Busby. He was the husband of Martha Baker Busby of Columbia. He was a retired crane operator for Union Carbide Corporation. He was a member of the faith Pentecostal Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth Busby of Lewisburg, TN, Yvonne Wayne Legg of Culleoka, TN, and Dale Busby of Columbia, TN; a son, Dennis Psyche Busby of Kinston, AL; He was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Morton; a granddaughter, Julia Kelley; one sister and four brothers.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Rager, Travis Rager, Dennis Busby, II, Joshua Mills, Tim Legg, and Blake Kelley. Honorary pallbearers will be the doctors and nurses of CCU at Maury Regional Hospital.
