Jasper Louis Held, Jr.

Mr. Jasper Louis ?J.L.? Held, Jr., 69, a resident of the Enterprise Community, died Monday, September 13, 2004 at Crockett Hospital.
The funeral mass for Mr. Held will be conducted Thursday, September 16, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Catherine Catholic Church with Reverend Patrick Connor officiating. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery with military honors provided by the Mt. Pleasant American Legion Post #10. The family will visit with friends Wednesday 4:00 until 8:00 p. m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with a prayer vigil being held at 8:00 p.m.
The native of Maury County-Enterprise Community, was the son of the late Jasper Louis ?Jap? Held, Sr. and the late Ruby Pitts Held. He was the husband of Treva Hall Held of the Enterprise Community. Mr. Held was retired owner and operator of City Cleaners in Mt. Pleasant. He served in the United States Army and was a member of the Mt. Pleasant American Legion Post #10. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus and a communicant of St. Catherine Catholic Church. He was an avid antiquer and scrapper.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by, a daughter, Phyllis Marx of Mt. Pleasant, TN; a son Patrick Louis Teresa Held of Columbia, TN: grandchildren, Rachel Diane Held, Katherine Nicole Held, Patrick Louis Held, Jr. all of Columbia, TN, Ryan C. Marx of Mt. Pleasant, TN, and Paul J. Marx of Harrison, MI. He was preceded in death by a son, Destry Paul Held who died in 1978.
Pallbearers will be Roland Hall, Roy Hall, Leamon Hall, Bob Garner, William Gibson, and Ryan Marx.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Ebert, the 8:00 a.m. Sunday Choir at St. Catherine Catholic Church, the 5:30 p.m. Saturday Choir, Jamie English, Dr. David George, William Crowder, Harold Sharpe, Dr. Reams Powers, Center Wing of Countryside Nursing Home in Lawrenceburg, and Tommy Reischman.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association: Mid South Chapter, Middle Tennessee Regional Office, 4004 Hillsboro Pike, Suite 219 B Nashville, Tennessee 37215.
