Jasper Stanley Foster, III, fondly known as “Stan”, passed away at his home in Franklin, Tennessee on May 4 2019, at the age of 64. He fought a valiant battle with end-stage heart failure.
Stan was born on August 17, 1954, to the late Jasper Foster, Jr., and Jean McAnally Foster at Maury Regional. He married Jeanean Suter on September 9, 1995. Stan was a financial advisor for thirty-five years. He attended Columbia Central High School, where he was an enthusiastic member of the band. He also played First Chair Trumpet for the Pride of the Southland Band at the University of Tennessee. He earned his MBA at Tennessee Tech. Stan was an avid gardener and a loyal UT Vols fan. “Go Vols!”
Stan is survived by his wife, Jeanean Foster, of Franklin, Tennessee, and his son, Peyton Foster of Franklin, Tennessee. He is also survived by his mother, Jean McAnally Foster, of Columbia, Tennessee, his brother Kenny Foster, of Arlington, Tennessee and his sister, Melissa Foster of Franklin, Tennessee. Stan has a loving host of extended family members and lifelong friends, and he will be missed by his beloved dog, Blossom, who was his constant companion.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 6th from 4 pm – 8 pm at Williams Funeral Home, 2517 Trotwood Avenue, Columbia, Tennessee 38401. A Celebration of Stan’s Life will be held on May 7th at Williams Funeral Home at 2 pm with Bro. Terrell Marcom officiating. There will be a reception in Blevins Hall of Williams Funeral Home following the Celebration of Life. The family will have a private graveside service at Polk Memorial Gardens, 6465 Trotwood Ave, Columbia, Tennessee 38401, prior to the Celebration.
The family would like to thank the entire cardiology and LVAD team at Vanderbilt Medical Center, as well as Alive Hospice for the exceptional care given to Stan.
