Janey Lou Pruitt

Janey Lou Pruitt, age 70 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Thursday morning at Signature Healthcare of Columbia.

Janey was born in Lawrenceburg to the late Hubert Royal & Ernestine Rubert Dye. She worked as a production tech at GE. She was also a truck driver for Ranger. Janey was a member of The Tabernacle in Summertown.

Funeral services for Ms. Janey Pruitt will be Monday, September 23, at 10:00 AM at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Bro. Ricky Pitts officiating. Burial will follow in McClains Cemetery. The family will welcome friends for visitation Sunday, September 22, from 4:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Survivors for Ms. Pruitt include: two sons, Tony (Kristi) Pruitt of Ethridge and Donnie (Janet) Dye of Lynnville; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and her sister, Betty Jean Rone. Janey was preceded in death by her brother, James Royal “Tommy” Dye and husband, Arch Jones Pruitt.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The American Cancer Society in Janey’s name.
