Jane Blake

Reba Jane Blake, affectionately known as Jane, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2025, at Morning Pointe in Columbia, Tennessee. Born on October 26, 1945, to the late William Lawrence and Madeline Moody, Jane lived a life marked by warmth, honesty, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Those who knew Jane will remember her sharp wit and infectious smile—she had a remarkable gift for making people laugh and always knew how to brighten a room. She was known for speaking the truth, even when it wasn’t easy to hear, and for always putting others before herself. Family was the heart of her world, and she never let anyone forget how deeply she loved them.

Among her fondest memories was a European tour she took with her beloved son Douglas, a journey she often described as the trip of a lifetime. Jane loved to travel, explore new places, and, of course, do a little shopping along the way.

Jane was preceded in death by her loving husband, Michael Lynn Blake, as well as her siblings Karen Bailey, Richard Moody, and Robert Moody.

She is survived by her devoted children: Douglas Michael Blake, Rebecca Lynn Harrison, and William Scott Blake; her cherished grandchildren: Emilee, Connor, Mason, Amanda, and Evan; and her precious great-grandchildren: Harrison, Everett, Keagan, Colton. She also leaves behind her dear siblings, Mary Sue Taylor and Daniel Moody.

Jane’s presence will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who were lucky enough to know her. Her legacy lives on through her family, her stories, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness and humor.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 21, 2025 from 3:00 Pm to 5:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. Additional services will take place in Weston, West Virginia at a later date. Jane will be laid to rest at Rock Grove Cemetery in Linn, West Virginia.
