Mr. James Robert Walden, age 59, of Columbia, passed away on November 2, 2016 at his residence.
James was born on June 22, 1957 in Detroit, Michigan to Robert Walden and Christine Bumbalough Montgomery. He was a retiree from General Motors after working on the assembly line for many years.
James was passionate about music, especially having an affinity for all vinyl records. He also appreciated good photography, both viewing them and seeking out extraordinary photographs. The Smoky Mountains was one of his favorite places to visit. He also enjoyed owning old cars and attending car shows.
James is survived by his children: Jessica (Kevin) Hill of Spring Hill and Robert Walden of Murfreesboro; sisters: Patricia (Junior) Burton of Columbia and Sandra Walden of Baytown, Texas; brother-in-law: Ralph Hindbaugh of Redford, Michigan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister: Shirley Hindbaugh.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Walden will be held on Thursday, November 10 at 5:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the service.
