James R. Henson, Jr.

Mr. James R. Henson, Jr., 72, a resident of Wheelerfield Road in Mt. Pleasant, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at his home.
Funeral services for Mr. Henson will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday, July 15, 2006 at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Randy Kersey officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday and Friday from 5:00 until 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of the late James R. and Octavia Crews Henson, Sr. and husband of the late Dorothy A. Henson. He was a retired foreman for Tennessee Aluminum Products and a member of the Halls Chapel Church of Christ.
He is survived by his sons, Danny R. Shelia Henson and Jimmy R. Valerie Henson, both of Mt. Pleasant; daughters, Patricia Arnold Grooms, Debra Christopher Boshers and Shirley Kenny Mobbs, all of Mt. Pleasant; sisters, Joann Thompson of Columbia, Ruth McKennon and Carolyn James Chatman, both of Mt. Pleasant; brothers, Leon Norma Jean Henson, Larry Wayne Josephine Henson, both of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Mary Beth Brandon Johnson, Phillip Misti Grooms, Jason Michelle Grooms, Kristie Jeremy Choate, Dillon Scott, Amanda Mobbs, Jared Mobbs, Blake Henson and Cody Henson, all of Mt. Pleasant; 8 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jay Greene, John Sweeney, Wayne Dugger, Michael Eastep, David Calvert, Scotty Henson, Sawyer Greene, Bobby Ray England and Randall Pruitt. Honorary pallbearers will be Hershal Bolton, Ray Floyd, Mike Floyd, Jimmy Floyd, Charles Collins, Roger Kelly, Riley McWilliams, Alvin Grooms, Jr. Martin, David Thomas, Oscar Clark, Bud McKnight, Johnnie Prentice, Earl Hayes, R.L. Cummins, Clarence Davis, Bobby Bougus, Ray Odom, Bill Runions, Bill Floyd, William Massey, Terry Green, Jr. Johnson, Owen Moore and Thomas Smith.
