James Porter Scott

Mr. James Porter ?Jimmy? Scott, 59, a resident of Hay Long Avenue in Mt. Pleasant, died Monday, November 21, 2005 at Hidden Acres Nursing Home.
Funeral services for Mr. Scott will be conducted Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Ulner Morrow and Walker Payne officiating. Burial will be in the Sheboss Cemetery near Hampshire with military honors being provided by the Tennessee National Guard. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of the late Porter and Nina Dunn Scott. He was a security guard and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mr. Scott proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era.
He is survived by a son, Andy Tanna Scott of Mt. Pleasant, TN; a sister, Grace Marie Farris of Columbia, TN; two brothers, Miles Mary Scott and Cecil Scott both of Mt. Pleasant; four grandsons, Ricky Scott, Mason Scott, Caden Scott, and Nicholas Jones all of Mt. Pleasant, TN. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Brendan Scott.
Pallbearers will be Mike Fault, Jeff Fault, Billy Sexton, Steve Renfro, Scotty Renfro, and Daniel Sexton. Honorary pallbearer will be Steve Cantrell.
