Mr. James Parr, age 63, a resident of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, June 23, at Select Specialty Hospital in Nashville.
A private family memorial service for Mr. Parr will be conducted at a later date. The family will visit with friends Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Williams Funeral Home of Columbia.
Born on May 13, 1946 in Austin, TX, he was the son of the late James and Ilene Manson Parr and the husband of Mary Gail Jarvis Moser Parr. James retired as a truck driver from Ryder Dedicated Logistics. He served as a reserve deputy and a volunteer for the reception area for the Maury County Sheriff's Department with many, many hours and was a great asset. He loved fishing, old cars, especially his Model A and had a great love for animals.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters: Candee Kirk Frame of Kingsford, MI and Cathi Kooyman of Delta, UT; and 6 grandchildren.
