James Ocie Gray, age 86 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Gray was born August 15, 1925 to his late parents, Hassie & Frank Gray. He was the husband of the late Bonnie Gray. The family shared, "He was a loving family man." James loved spending his time on the waters and in the woods of Tennessee hunting and fishing. He was also a member of the Hampshire Baptist Church.
The family invites friends to share memories of James in the Mt. Pleasant Williams Funeral Home Chapel Saturday, July 14, 2012 from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. Services for Mr. Gray will be conducted Sunday, July 15, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery.
Mr. Gray is survived by his three daughters: Patricia Gray Brown of Columbia, Laurie Terry Roberts of Mt. Pleasant, Bonnie Eddie McFadden of Trenton, TN; granddaughters: Stephanie Steve Ange of Columbia, Jessica Brymer of Mt. Pleasant, Christy Brian King of Dyer, and Jennifer David Parks of Trenton; three great grandchildren, step mother Pearl Gray, brothers: Willie D. Gray of Bryan Ohio, Larry Marie Gray of Smyrna, and Marlene Sam French of Lawrenceburg, and extended family: Lewis and Lukis Begley. In addition to his wife Bonnie, he is preceded in death by his parents, a son-in-law Barry L. Brown, and siblings: Vaudie Marks, Leo Gray, and Noble Gray.
