James “Jimbo” Howard Workman, age 61, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
James was born on April 26, 1954 in Maury County, Tennessee to the late Earl Workman and Marjorie Grissom Workman. James proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a member of the 101st Airborne. He was proud to be a union carpenter. James was of the Christian faith.
The family will visit with friends on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee. Burial will follow Blowing Springs Cemetery.
James is survived by his daughter Beth Workman of Nashville, Tennessee; son Hunter Workman of West Virginia; brothers Van (Mary) Workman of Leoma, Tennessee and William Maury “Chougie” (Sandra) Workman of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee; nieces and nephews Zachary (Amy) Workman, Caleb Workman, Darcy Workman, James Earl (Kim) Workman, and Ashley Workman; several great nieces and nephews; and spouse Sandra Lowery.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
