James “Jim” D. Covey, age 78, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at his home.
Jim was born on April 30, 1937 to the late John Nap Covey and Zelma Arlene Humble Covey. His focus in life was his faith and his family – a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
The family will visit with friends on Friday, August 21, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with Pastor Lyndall Propst officiating. Interment will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.
Jim is survived by his wife Mary Covey; children Theresa (Michael) Short of Columbia, Tennessee, Patricia (Todd) Farnsworth of Little Rock, Arkansas, James D. (Kirsten) Covey of Dallas, Texas, and Andrea (Brian) Sieling; grandchildren Andrew, Joshua, and Christopher Short; Emma, Isabel, and Jack Farnsworth; Reiger Covey; and Madison Roan, Kendall and Emerson Sieling; and brother Paul A. Covey.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents John N. and Zelma A. Covey.
